Declaration of candidacy for Ashville City Council

Today I officially declared my candidacy for Ashville City Council, Place 1.

I have been weighing for some time now, about running for City Council of the City of Ashville, Alabama. After much encouragement of my friends and family, I decided to officially submit my candidacy for Ashville City Council. Me and my wife are 5th generation residents of Ashville, and I have been working silently in the town for some time through charity work with the Masonic Lodge and my local Church.

But, after the wreck back in 2018, I have been looking for some way to give back to our great hometown and surrounding community. I have 20+ years of work within the public sector, and believe that my unique experiences between work and a lifetime of working within various Church ministries, can bring the integrity and honest leadership this community has come to expect and to support.

This is in NO way implying that past or current leadership have not exhibited integrity, but rather a reflection of why my family has chosen to reside here since 1870, and a hope that I can contribute and add to the rich heritage of our town and can make some positive impact so that future descendants would choose to call Ashville home for another 155 years!
