My Father’s family history

  • My Great Great Grandather (Frederick Bryant) move to Ashville from Sand Mountain as a widower around 1870. He was accompanied by his Son David who died during the flu epidemic. They are both buried at the Hale Cemetery at Hale Mountain. While living in Ashville he remarried and had multiple children.
  • My great grandparents (Willaim Marzy) lived in the Greensport area and Beaver Valley, and is buried at Macedonia Cemetery in Shoal Creak Valley.
  • My grandparents are both buried at Oldham’s Chapel in Beaver Valley
  • My parents are now retired from the ministry and reside here in Ashville, and are members of Ashville Church of God.

My Mother’s family history

  • My Great Great Grandparents live in Ashville on Pinedale Road. They were named Bowlin and lived near Bowlin Bridge.
  • My great grandparents live around Reeve’s grove and are buried at Reeves Grove.
  • My grandparent founded Ashville Church of God on their front porch. They have both went on to be with the Lord and are buried in the Ashville Cemetery.
